A LoPair au pair in China you are always regarded a part of the family and the host will include you in their family activities. As a “family member” you will learn to share responsibilities and contribute to make life in the family easier with less hassle.
Therefore on top of providing care to the host siblings, you are always welcome to provide a helping hand in the times where families need, although generally you are not responsible for housework that does not relate to the children’s or communal living areas. But we encourage that you could help your host parents do some cooking or some easy housework.

Dear Au pair:
Hello,we live in the suburbs of Shanghai Jiading district, there is a big theme park and Car Museum nearby, we can walk there from our house,also there’re bus station and subway nearby.
My family has 4 members, my husband has his own company, usually is busy for working, and I was accounting before but now I’m a housewife.
The elder son is senior one now,usually he lodge at school and barely at home.The younger one is 6-year-old and grade 2 at ShangHai England Primary School. He’s English is pretty well because of taking courses given in English at school.He’s very clever and well-behaved,he loves swimming, piano and playing football.
The au pair’s mainly responsibility is to take care of the younger one, to help him complete the school daily homework and reading every night and take him to school and bring him back home,play with him, the au pair need to communicate with teacher and get daily information of the younger one.
We like traveling a lot ,and also plan to take au pairs together.We’ve hosted 7 au pairs started from 2013,most of them came from England,Australia,Poland,Russian and so on.Now we are hosting one au pair from Spain, she will leave at the end of May.
We took her to Hawaii,Singapore,HongKong and Thailand during the past 6 months, so we have a rich experience about hosting au pairs.And we live warmly and harmoniously with each au pairs, especially our kids.
