A LoPair au pair in China you are always regarded a part of the family and the host will include you in their family activities. As a “family member” you will learn to share responsibilities and contribute to make life in the family easier with less hassle.

Therefore on top of providing care to the host siblings, you are always welcome to provide a helping hand in the times where families need, although generally you are not responsible for housework that does not relate to the children’s or communal living areas. But we encourage that you could help your host parents do some cooking or some easy housework.

Dear Au Pair,

Dear Au Pair,

Hello, Sisiter! My name is Du Xibei. I'm 10 years old. My family has a nice father and mother, two lovely and naughty twin sisters, and our granny good at cooking. I love them. Dad is an air-conditioning engineer, usually busy with his work; my mother is an accountant. Since her work is not too busy, she has time to go to the gym and play badminton. I also played badminton for almost 2 years, and I can teach you.

We are from Beijing, the capital of China. Beijing has the largest number of world cultural heritages in the world. Over three thousand years of history, it has nurtured the Imperial Palace, Tiantan, the Badaling Great Wall and so on. Beijing is also a cosmopolitan metropolis of various cultures, arts and music religions and equipped with convenient public transportation. All kinds of art museums, exhibitions and music museums are innumerable.

My house is located in the living area of Yizhuang Development Zone, Beijing, with convenient transportation and 800 meters away from the subway station. There are large parks, shopping malls, supermarkets, gymnasiums and so on around. It is very convenient living around. The environment is also very good and I live on the first floor of my house. It is a newly decorated house and a new room has been prepared for you - my sister. You can decorate it by yourself. There are two small courtyards around the house. The South courtyard can grow vegetables, fruits and flowers. We can grow together, harvest together, and garden it together. We plan to make a Japanese courtyard in the north courtyard. I hope you will like our new home.

I am in Grade 5 now. My two younger sisters will go to kindergarten after spring festival. We hope that a big sister can pick us up after school. After school, we can play games, sing, read, paint and learn English together. I also want my big sister to tell me about the customs of your country, the habits of your life, your food, the fun and interesting things in your country. We can also ride and play together.

At weekends, we can go to the historic parks with mom and Dad, visit the old alleys in Beijing, watch the shows together, water the plants in the yard, and arrange the yard.

Immediately comes the biggest traditional festival in China, we all look forward to your arrival and take you to experience the New Year in China.

We are waiting for you in Beijing

Best regards,

Du Xibei
